Alaska Resource Education is a 501(c)(3) Educational Non-Profit founded in 1982. We are a partnership between the State of Alaska Department of Education and private companies who are engaged in the resource industry. Our mission is to educate students about Alaska’s natural resources.

Located in Anchorage, Alaska, ARE provides educational opportunities and primary education curriculum statewide. ARE uses state, corporate, and individual funding to teach students and teachers and to distribute curriculum that meets Alaska State Science Standards and has been aligned with the Common Core in English, Language Arts, and Math.
