Rock Kits

ARE’s famous “box of rocks” has been a pillar of the program since 1982. The resource kit for teachers includes a 40-specimen collection of rocks and minerals from across Alaska. It also includes posters, books, DVDs, mineral and energy career cards, magnifying loupe, mineral testing kit, the ARE curriculum, and many other tools for teachers to use as they educate students about Alaska’s natural resources.
