AMPED On Energy Camp

 

Amped on Energy Camp is an opportunity for students to explore energy sources across Alaska, as well as get a first-hand look at careers in energy. Through the Amped on Energy Camp, students will tour various energy producing facilities, vocational schools and buildings that utilize energy. At past camps students visited Marathon Refinery, Homer Electric Association, SeaLife Center, Challenger Learning Center, Cook Inlet Spill Prevention and Response Inc, Alaska Vocational Technical Center, and Anchorage Mining and Petroleum Training Service. Students learn about electricity, oil production, natural gas, energy career paths and more.
