Isaac Witthuhn
STEM Educator
Isaac Witthuhn is passionate about education, especially lessons that give students the opportunity to learn in a fun, hands-on way. Witthuhn brings years of education experience to his role as a STEM Educator at ARE. He’s worked with a variety of ages including serving in the Peace Corps in Lesotho where he taught fourth grade and working at the Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program. At ARE, he’s excited to help bridge the gap between industry and education as he helps students build a deeper understanding of Alaska’s natural resources and the role that STEM plays within these industries.Â
Witthuhn is originally from Minnesota. He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in social studies education. Since moving to Alaska, Witthuhn has fallen more in love with the outdoors. He loves Alaska’s rugged accessibility, which he enjoys by hiking, biking and fishing around the state.Â
