Zee Rosado

Southeast Program Coordinator

Zee Rosado has spent over a decade working in Alaska’s commercial fishing industry. From trawling in the Bering Sea to gillnetting in Bristol Bay, and seining, pot cod and Dungeness fishing out of Kodiak, the ocean is where she discovered her passion for Alaska’s natural resources.

Rosado’s other professional background is in nonprofits and education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from the University of California, Merced in 2010, which led her to serve as an AmeriCorps member at YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School. In 2020, she began working in elementary education and returned to school to earn a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Northwest Nazarene University in 2023.

Rosado loves to travel and is fluent in Spanish. From California to Brazil, and Washington to Pennsylvania, she’s called a lot of places home. But for her, Alaska is where she wants to plant roots. She’s drawn to the Last Frontier for its rich beauty, history and the diverse cultures represented across the state. Rosado looks forward to continuing to balance her passions for education and commercial fishing while making her new home in Southeast Alaska.
